1990 Regal fast idle.
My wife's 90 Buick Regal Limited has the 3.8 multi-port fuelinjection engine which we purchased new, it did not come with a tachometer andI don't have access to one.
When she starts it in the morning (75 to 85 degrees) it goes onfast idle and will cruise the neighborhood at up to 9 miles per hour. Tappingthe gas pedal will do nothing and it takes about 10 minutes to get it back tonormal. The difference between cold start and warm rpm is slight, not excessivethat I am concerned about it going too fast and it does not clunk when puttingit in gear.
I searched the Haynes manual and can't find anything like a fastidle solenoid.
