i was wondering if any of you out there knew how to supercharge a 3100 century '01

dont bother. not worth the amount of money needed. but ud prob be better off with turbo. if u want info about forced induction, the the "ricer" forums are the best to browse thru.

Just for S&G I thought about it. On the 3800's the power steering is relocated to behind everything for the snout to fit. I'd just go for the engine/tranny swap since I seen low miles series III's local with the engine/trans and computers for like $2000.

Anything like that puts tremendous stress on any engine that isn't specifically built to withstand the extra wear and tear on components.

In 1984 l had a Dodge Daytona Turbo Z; notice past tense here. The car was 4 cylinder, turbocharged and I added Chrysler's racing computer and intercooler that fitted up through a reverse hood scoop. Then decided to add a small boost 50 HP NOS Nitrous Oxide kit. Well...... The car could turn a sub 13 second 1/4 mile and would tach up so fast I couldn't keep up shifting. Faster than my road runner but this wasn't a heavy car either.

So needless to say the piston rods were reinforced (forged) for the factory turbo but I still managed to throw one right through the block one cold December morning just driving normally. Put a new engine in (junkyard plentiful), they had 8 cylinder power with 4 cylinder parts.

These days I just buy what I want from the start, no more wasting my time or money. Forgot to mention, as in the photo will do a sub 12 second 1/4 mile and that's missing a shift too no less. 11 second ET's aren't unheard of, no modifications. Not a whole lot out there much faster from the factory for the price is my point I guess.
