Default Few Things Missing On The New Buick Enclave

I just bought the Enclave Avenir and do like the car... smooth and quiet. but must say I discovered a few things that disappointed me a lot... One, withing a few days we had occasion to take a short 4 hour road trip in which it rained on and off the whole way. It's here I discovered the Enclave has no auto sensing windshield wipers so I was constantly having to turn the wipers on and off. Perhaps my bad for not checking this feature before buying, but on a high end car this is technology that's been out for 25 years or better. I called the dealership and the sales guy said it did have it but when he checked he found that it didn't and his explanation was that they put pedestrian sensors in and couldn't put in both.... That's a pretty feeble explanation. My second compliant which even upset me more is that you can connect up to 10 blu-ray devices to the car which I could never imagine however one of those being your cell phone. So on this same trip we connected our Kindle by blue tooth and while listened we received a phone call and could not answer in that the Kindle was connected . Thus the safety of hands free phone was eliminated. We owned prior to this a Lincoln MDX and an Acura MKX and both had technology that allowed us to connect the Kindle and then answer the phone as it muted the Kindle when this happened. Thus, we have to make our connections in another way but disappointed in having to do that as it just makes things more complicated in which for safety reasons should make things less complicated. The Enclave is a nice driving car, we have the AWD and has great trunk space when the rear seats down which we love for traveling. Happy with it but think the items mentioned which were on our previous cars are something which they should look into....

Oh interesting, I was looking into the Enclave myself and didn't realize that it lacked auto sensing windshield wipers! Hard to believe to be honest. I found this pretty good review https://www.autolist.com/buick-encla...ave-review#s=a that made me sort of hesitant because it lacks adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring. I do love the way it looks and all that space!
