Default Newbe,weighing in,saying hi!

Hi, Just bought a 95' Skylark GS 4dr.Joined up,as your forum site was a big help in solving the dreaded multiswitch/turn signal/flasher,um,kerfuffel..Coupla' thoughts..A 7mm deep socket/4"-6" 1/4 drive extension will make
diassembly of steering column upper/lower trim pieces lots easier.Used a dremel tool to cut a slot in the tube, left side of lower trim piece.Yep,broke mine.Had to get a regular 7mm socket out of that tube.
Loctite super glue had it all fixed up.Creating a little extra clearence sure helped.
Noticed threads said passinger side turn signal..After installing new multi-switch,still no turn signal..Swapped bulbs left to right..Flashers,but no pass.turn signal..Hmmm..Driver side circuit board as gooey as pass side, which I'd cleaned previously..Cleaned driver side circuit board.Tested again..flashers,one bulb on right side not working..Turned it upside down..re-installed..
Yes! turn signals all working! Ok,deoxit is a friend, get the one with the applicator needle..Clean everything(yep, bulbs too).Get the old di-electric grease outta the sockets,re-apply carefully,a little goes a long way.
Deoxit all contacts/circuit board connectors/bulbs etc..
Thanks again, happy to be on board!

Welcome! It sounds like you kinda had a handle on it. I'm still learning electrical so I can't help too much either.
