New to newer buicks, but not to cars. Anyone have input on how to diag / fix the steering whl controls for radio etc on a 96 Park Ave? Any GM steering wheel controls info at all? Looking forward to talking with you all.

Cannot be specific to your model, but the contacts do wear out. I have had some sucess with spraying contact cleaner into the area.

Do you have to do any disassembly prior to spraying? Or just spray into the crack between the body of the wheel and the mounting buss?

I just spray into the crack around the switches, using electrical contact cleaner. Then work the switches back and forth. Best to do this with power off. I'm not sure exactly what kind of switch isinside, but I suppose if that doesn't work, you could try going further in.
