I am a proud 88 Buick Lesabre owner but, they do have issues like any brand does.

I like what my car has but, little things are strange on Buicks like in the summer it seems to show the service light when its in the 90s outside.

But they are great for long trips and mileage my car is really good for a big car. I got it when it had 35,000 actual miles on it and now it shows 112,000 so now I think that age is what is happening for issues.

Has anyone had any issues with the electrical system?

I recently tried to be the helpful neighbor and then within a day my car would not start and after replacing the battery it seems to be better. Only the battery was less then a year old.. any ideas?

I may be back for more questions.

The day after I gave the jump the car would not even turn over no interior lights or the ding of the door open I mean dead. I do have a multimeter but, I need to get a new set of batteries for. I took out the old battery and charged it for a while and it looks like the battery is shot.

how about the cables? if its an 88 with originals, that could be a problem.
