I found a junkyard that had a 1953 Buick special with a straight-8 engine automatic transmission and it had a rear end in it I have a 1939 Buick special 40 4-door trunk sedan and I wanted to know if the 1953 Buick rear end will the gears fit in a 1939 with a mount up inside a lot of people say it should but I haven't been able to get a definite yes or no answer and and I want to know how much work it would it be involved to make it happen this is there anybody who would know a definite yes or no answer thank you
