I have a 2011 Buick Lacrosse. It would not crank Wed. night after working fine Tues. and the Battery Saver Active message appeared. I left it alone overnight and the next AM with slight hesitation, it cranked. I ran it for about 20 minutes and it cranked fine the rest of Thurs.. Fri. AM left to return home and after 2 1/2 hours on the road, I stopped at a gas station and it wouldn't crank although it was off 5 minutes and nothing was left on. Once again, Battery Saver Active appeared. Do I need a new battery, or is something else going on?

 

If it is the orginal GM branded battery I would go to a Auto parts store that can do a load test to see if you need a new battery or if there is a problem with the chargeing system.

Eight years Is pretty good life with a GM branded battery.
