I'm new to the forum, I've not started searchington, but plan to do so. I just figured I'd go right ahead and ask the main question that brought me here.

1969 Skylark, 350 automatic- owner wants 455 auto.

This is for a friend of mine. He has a desire to do this and I told him I'd look into it. I am not familair with Buicks that much. I am just starting to read up and research this potential project.

My thoughts so far- Need to find a 455 and a Turbo 400? I assume that is the tranny to go with. Next would be to consider the front suspension, driveshaft, and rear end. I figure it might need new springs, I don't know if the driveshaft would be compatible, and I don't know what he has for a rear end, but he might want to upgrade.

Lastly I will be looking into whether he wants a mild build on the engine or not.

Either way, I'm happy to be on here, I hope some of you guys will have some good advice. I'll try to hunt most of it down myself, but if anyone wants to throw me a bone, I'll be much obliged.
