Hi, I purchased a 1996 Buick Skylark with 63,500km for $3800 Canadian. (I don''t know if I paid too much or not, but due to the low milage, I thought it might be worth it since it looks like I could get at least 100,000km, so I figured at 4 cents a kilometer, why not.

Anyway, the car has some electrical problems. The driver''s side power window doesn''t work properly. It needs to be pushed up with hands to close it, so I just don''t roll it down. Another thing is that the speedometer is broken, although the odometer is working just fine. I wonder what is the problem with this. I therefore cannot check how much fuel is left, etc. I must now rely on watching the odometer to see how many kilometers it goes before I must refuel.

My car is a 3.1L V6 2 door car. The other problem is that when I am about to turn off the engine and pull out the key, I am always having to play with it until it will finally let me turn it all the way so that I can take the key out. So far I have been able to with a struggle get the key out, but I am just afraid that one of these days, it is just going to get stuck there, and my battery will die. I therefore am driving with a spare battery and jumper cables to conect to this battery should this happen for back up.

Could anyone tell me what is wrong with the above. I know I mentioned three things. Maybe others have had similar experiences. Fortunately, the car moves just fine going from point A to B.I also want to know how many kilometers will it go per liter so I can measure accurately before I must refuel.

How much should I have paid for such a car? Did I pay too much?
