1995 LeSabre Alarm Keeps Going Off
My son has a '95 LeSabre Custom that's used as a commuter car. When he parks it at night the security alarm keeps going off. Denver PD had it towed because it was pissing off the neighbors.
Anyone know how to disable the security system? Or if it'd work to just remove the fuse for the horn? Yeah, I know it's important to have a horn, but I'd rather rig an air horn to it with duct tape, than have to pay impound fees.
NOTE: the car isn't worth much -- it's pretty much a beater -- so taking it to a dealer or mechanic isn't really a viable option.

I realize this is an old post, but maybe someone will read it and reply with help. I'm having a similar problem on my 1997 LeSabre. I've read the manual, it says you can temporarily defeat the alarm system if you manually lock the doors from inside before getting out, but even when I did that last night my car alarm still went off, luckily in the middle of the day when it wasn't too inconvenient to stop. I've lost the keyless remote control, hopefully temporarily, so I can't use it to turn the Security system off with. Does anyone have any suggestions how to deal with? I don't want to defeat the horns from working. Thanks !
