1965 Buick Special
#1
Hello All,
I obviously own a ''65 Special. I am the third owner of the 68,000 mile car. I bought it from my great-aunt after Uncle Carter passed. He rarely drove the car since it was last registered in ''98 and in the garage. It does come with some baggage:
Rear window seal needs replacing. The upper chrome is there, but the bottom chrome and rubber had been replaced with tar. It leaks! Year One said that they have no help for me.
I towed the car from Nashville to Chicago. At my folks house I gave the car a complete tune up. The car blew up in Minnesota on the way home to Washington. After getting it towed home and ripped apart, there is a nickel size hole in the number 7 cylinder. I just need to save up the cash to have it taken to a machine shop and have the motor rebuilt.
Will 300cid parts be hard to find?

Parts for the old 300 engine should be available thorugh Powerhouse or any other source for hard engine components. These motors were numerous and shared a lot of components with later Buick V-8''s. If it comes to it, you could probably still find a good used one. Poke around, you''d be surprised what''s out there. Good luck!
