1955 Buick Special
I have a '55 Buick Special Convertible. There is a molding fastened to the top of the ledge at the rear of the body, between the body and the bumper. I got it from Bob's Automobilia. However, I cannot find the fasteners that hook this molding to the body. Can anyone help? Thank you.
Welcome aboard ! You sure have a collectors item with that 55 Buick.
Used to own a 55 Roadmaster. Was one heck of a car. Today I wish I held on to it. I think it was bulletproof compared to todays cars.
There was a place in NJ where we used to get all kinds of moulding clips etc. Called Boman /Barnes distribution located in Edison, NJ 732-867-4444 maybe they might have the clips/retainers you are looking for. There also might be other body shop suppliers that might have what you're looking for.

Thank you for the help. I called Barnes and then got eventually sent to AUVECO who manufacture tons of different fasteners including the ones sold by Barnes. No one seems to know what the fastener looks like. I also sent an email to anyone with a '55 Buick 46C listed in the Buick Club. Hoping someone actually still has the molding attached. Perhaps when they have the GM classic car show here in Los Angeles in mid July I can see something on another Buick or get the original part number.
