Someone please tell me what this.
Hopefully my elementary drawing makes it clear. The lower line is broken and needs replaced, but I don't know what it is. It's attached to a schrader valve with a green cap that mentions 'evap', but none of the schematics show the same thing. Where can I find a replacement?
Hi, You circled quite a few parts, and I think the parts on the fuel rain in the "middle Red finger" you included is not related to the rest of things. I believe the others are parts of the Vapor Canister purge/vent valves system. I just noticed the other day that the end of the long (bottom) hose going down toward left headlight had come off the connector it was supposed to be attached to on my car, but I haven't had a chance to find that and fix it yet (car is down while I'm fixing brake lines. I had to pull out the air filter assembly to get to the master cylinder, that's how I saw it detached). Whatever connector it is supposed to be on seems to be buried deep under other components (like the large electrical thing in its own plastic box, just behind the left headlight. What is that ?? Anyone know ? ) You might be able to confirm what the mechanical/electronic parts are if you look at Rockauto.com's "Vapor Canister..." parts for reference, but if you only need to replace the vacuum hoses you can probably just do that by taking a sample piece down to your local auto parts store and buying some extra line (not sure how much feet). Good luck !
Not to hijack your posting, but I'm wanting to identify the name of the vacuum hose and integrated end-coupling shown in your picture in the tallest "red finger" that you drew, that attaches to the throttle body or whatever that part of the intake is called. The end-coupler that pushes onto a small inlet pipe on mine is cracked and for now I just fixed it with electrical tape but it probably leaks; I'd like to replace it but can't find it on Rockauto's or any website, or I don't know what it's called. If anyone can help name it, I'd appreciate it. I haven't had a chance to just look for a generic vacuum line with that connector or similar at local auto parts store, if this is worth pursuing, I'd like to hear any suggestions. Thanks all.
