Vise Grips Holding Flywheel/Removing pulley bolt.
.95 Buick LeSabre, Limited 3.8 L eng
I am in the process of TRYING to remove the bolt holding the pulley/balancer on. I do not have nor do I know what auto store would have the holding device to use on the flywheel, so I squeezed a vise grip on the flat surface of the flywheel away from the teeth. I am hoping that tomorrow I will have accomplished removing the bolt. Before I proceed, I would appreciate any feedback, cautions, etc. in using the vise grips. May I take this opportunity to incorrect usage of the word "vice" when referring to the tool "vise grips." I got lost in the moment.
