Dear All,

We are new owners of 1997 LeSabre. A beauty, but radio has only cassette.

Has anyone replaced their 1997 LeSabre AM/FM with Cassette radio with a GM OE AM/FM Cassette and single CD player ?

I am looking for a good reliable vendor.

Thanks

E. Spear

Of course you need to look at the Delco (GM) radios that fit your car.

The
LeSabre has dimmer lighting coming out over to the Auto Air for dimming
passenger AC control lighting and such, so you should go GM.. I dont
know why they did that but they did and a WalMart stereo would disable
the lighting dimming. Some have actually hidden the old radio somewhere
and left the circuit intact and put in a aftermarket CD player.. the
aftermarkets play MP3 and such from a thumbdrive and such.

Sources may be on Ebay for the type/style of stereo you have and perhaps you will see your model upgraded with the CD.. I did...

My replacement one came out of a Rivera for my LeSabre and had to swap the mounting frame attached to the radio.

Good Luck

Dear Bass,

Thanks for your response. You bet. I only want an original equipment radio, either new or rebuilt etc. I have located one vendor,
M&R Electronics of Michigan and

and I am wondering if anyone has experience with them.

Thanks fellow Buick Owners

Ellis
