Rear auto-shock problem 02 LeSabre

After trailer towing my 2002 LeSabre the rear auto adjusting shocks have the rear of the car jacked up way to high. The shocks are supposed to be self adjusting but after driving around after a month the rear is still jacked up.
Is there an adjustment or procedure I can do to bring the shocks back to their normal ride position?
