Smile oriface tube/ AC stuff

maybe I spelled it wrong, but I need to find it. I found a leak
in the lines coming out of the AC pump. Gonna replace it ($120.00 @
Rockauto) also got the oriface tube (another $0.97). I looked over
the lines and can't seem to find a likely spot that it would be.

Also, on a earlier post I had a problem with my Trunk release.
Turned out to be the Trunk motor.

still not sure about the sterring wheel Radio controls

Sure can't complain with those prices
Do you have any idea what is involved in what you are attempting to do?
I can assist you in locating the spot where the orifice should be,but after you change the line and the orifice, you need to change the receiver dryer also then evacuate the system for at least a half hour to boil out any moisture in the system.
Unless you have the equip to do this your results will be questionable and the thing may not cool very well, if at all.
Let me know what equip you have to do this work and if its the right stuff your job will be done right the first time. What do you think?

you are right about the reciever/dryer. just running out of $$$.
Sometimes Rock-Auto (they are online) have some good prices.
As far as equipment, I have a Robinair Vacuum pump and the Gauges needed. Anytime I replaced the oriface, you can usually see a "bulge"
somewhere in the line(s) generally around the Reciever/dryer.
I have yet to see the oriface tube for this year/model car and I guess it can be smaller than what I am used to looking for, therefor no telltale bulge?? I would explore around, but I work long hours and generally would not have the time during the week. Saturday, however is work on car day. Just trying to save time if I can pre-locate it, that would be helpful.

Looks like you're in good shape to get the job done right. The orifice should be located in the evaporator inlet at the condenser. Have a good day and let us know when you're done.
