I purchased a 1974 LaSabre Luxus convertible (455-4 engine) new in 1974 (original owner) and it was stored by my dad until 2017 (only driven in and out of the garage). Its now in my garage with only 6,032 original miles. It has the original top, interior, tires and drive train - it's un-restored / unmolested. And while the car is in a pristine "like new condition" it has a number of small rust/dimples/chip spots on top of the trunk lid area that I need to redo the paint. Since I can't match metal flake (can anyone?) I have to repaint the top of the trunk lid area. But how do I remove the "LESABRE" emblem on the trunk lid? It doesn't have any rear access openings to remove the speed nuts and I sure as heck don't want to damage anything. How do you remove this emblem? I've already gone past the point of no return.
Other than repainting the trunk lid, cleaning and polishing the car, it's ready to put on the market.
