some old lady hit my bumper and scratched the chrome is it possible to sand the scratches out, buff it, spray on chrome enamel and then polish it and buff it again or will i have to get the piece replaced

it all depends on how deep the scratches are. if youuse some metal polish, it should at least take out some of the scratches.

what kind of metal polish should i get. I was also thinking of snding the part to a chrome refinisher to have the finish restored cause im working on restoring my 90 lesabre.

I would recommend that you polish it (chrome polish should be easily available), and then touch up any remaining deep scratches with silver paint and a fine brush. Spray paint is unlikely to look good.


Of course, if you have the money, a rechrome would be best.
