Default Flywheel inspection cover 1995 3.8 L V6 Series I

I have a 1995 Buick LeSabre Custom with the Series I Vin L 3.8 L V6.

How should I take off the flywheel inspection cover without breaking it? I broke the original cover and now it's gone.

So I am getting another one at the salvage yard, but I don't want to break that one.

Thanks for the help,

Neal Lewis

I got the salvage yard flywheel inspection hole cover. It consists of two parts.

Flex the old plastic very carefully. It can be wiggled and warped into place.

The hardest part of the installation was putting on the hex head bolt at the front. You can't see to do the work. Use a 1/4" drive tool and work by feel.

It can be done but it is difficult. The screw requires a 10 mm socket.

The large part of the cover and the small part interlock where they come together. Make sure the tab of the small part goes behind (toward the right-hand side) the larger part.

I can send some photos if people are interested.
