the engine dies then restarts their was a 18x code. now it dies and dosen't restart for 10 or 20 min. got a knock sensor code. when I scanned it I had 18x 166 whenthe eng. was not turning. when cranked the 18x & 3x signal went crasy a second then started. now it run fine for week or two then it will do it again. thiss started after a broken valve spring was replaced only ing module & one con. were diconnect.

 

Sounds like a Crank sensor..

WHat year car?
What Mileage?

What do you mean the 18x and the 3x.. the signals from the sensor?

Must have been on a analyzer.. of some kind.
