I just bought an o5 Lesabre w/27000 miles and am considering a performance exhaust. And perhaps a chip.

I don't want to void what's left of the warranty and am unsure whether the current engine management system would compensate for the increased flow if I just stick one of the universal flowmasters (Or equivalent) on the car.

I have been unable to find a "tuned" exhaust specific to this car.

Also looking for source for floor mats specific to this car.

Comments?

COMMENTS.. Yes thanks.

Im not to fond of sacrificing an engines lifespan with a performance chip. The chip is set to get best fuel vrs. engine performance through detailed testing from the manufacturer.

Oh the other side, you can get the chip to shift the transmission at different higher speed, helping the engine with higher RPMs. I emphaticly doubt you will get any gas mileage improvement more like sacrifice it. As long as this is understood, do as you will. It may be useful if you live in a hilly area.

On the floormat issue.

I bought some carpet and floormats and was suckered.

I acquired a Park Ultra for free. Carpet was soaked, with no floor mats, all stained and garbaged out. I wanted a replacement.

The website said moulded and cut to fit. I chose the higher priced website set figuring quality would follow, $185 .. NOPE...
The carpet was far less than OEM quality like from the manufacturer. Well I did no edge cutting and just punched a few holes for wiring. The fur still flies from the carpet and there is no rubber backing like the orignial. It looks fairly well and good but still I know what's under there and what its made of.

Perhaps you can find some matching floormats from a junk yard and clean and treat them with a good superhot (140deg tapwater) soaking of OxyClean.. that stuff works really well.

Good Luck.
