Hi Chris, received your note but not confident my message even went out. I'd check distributor, may be reinstalled 180 degrees off if tab and slot or if geared can be off also. Usually set by #1 piston at TDC for starters if really off. Yes I've done it also lol. Hope this helps......

PS too- Pretty sure those would still have the tail end of distributors (no points), my '87 Corvette did.

 

Messages seem to be sending OK, so much for distributors. Buick seems in general to be further advanced and well built, lasting longer as I am slowly learning about.

Had an Accel mechanical advance and Ford vac/mech advance, both worked perfect in my Plymouth ('69 road runner). Would run Ford vac advance mostly for street. With the Accel mechanical only advance, was like running a second carburetor.
