Looking for some guidance. My '55 Super needs a new transmission (lots of metal bits in the pan). I've found a decent one out of a '58 but can't get a clear answer on whether it will bolt in place without any mods. I've seen threads talking about 56s in place of 54s etc and there are varying things that need to be considered.

Any help would be appreciated!
