i have a 96 buick skylark 3.1 v6. it will start right up but dies
almost instantly. if i keep cranking after it dies for about 10 seconds
it will start but the speedometer wont work. after about a minute
all the lights on the dash light up and the gauges go to 0. then
everything returns to normal but the theft system light stays on. if i
shut the car off the process usually starts over. any ideas?

check you fuel pressure have you change your fuel filter might be clogged thats why it starts than dies its starving for fuel
