I drive a 2000 lesabre limited, When I drive my car, after some time I feel the gas pedal rumble, then the battery light turns on and the engine shuts off.

Does anyone know what that could be?

 

Need more info;
1. Has this probhlem just started or is it something that started a while back and now is getting worse?
2. Did you just purchase gas and then the problem cropped up?
3. Does the vehicle start up easily after this happens?
4. Was the vehicle just serviced recently ,if so, what was done ?
Please provide a little more history and anything you might think is unimportant and may have overlooked.
