power failure

Yesterday my 1984 Buick Riveria was running like a champ and this morning I went to turn it on and nothing, not even a dash light. I thought maybe the battery so I tryed a jump but still nothing. The battery has juice so I am lost. Any advice where to start looking for the problem?

Main cables often corrode inside...

Perhaps you can use a test light and check, tracing the voltage back from the positive side of the battery..

Since the battery is good perhaps the small red wire to the battery has broken or corroded. The large red goes to the starter.
