Hi everyone, I have a 91 Buick century 3.3 v6 and it runs great except one problem. when you initially put on the gas it sludges out then starts going. Then starts jerking when you get your speed up a bit. When cold for about the first 2 or 3 minutes runs great. Going up hill same thing it runs great, like a brand new car. Lots of power, just the jerking and overloading on gas. Can anyone help me and not tell me to just put it on a machine? reading codes 34 and 22. I replaced the MAF sensor, O2 sensor, Cat converter, muffler, also the part under the MAF cant think of name. Fixed a vacuum leak. It had read a bunch more codes but after putting on the MAF it only reads these two now. Can it possibly be the fuel pressure regulator? I need this fixed bad cant afford garage please HELP!!!!

It's look like the Throttle Position Sensor is worn. This sensor
translate the position of you gas pedal in an electrical signal. This
signal is used by the computer to control the gaz injection. This
sensor work like a volume **** in sort. Your TPS seem to have ground
spot within, when your pedal reach the position of a ground spot, the
car think that you doesn't press the gas pedal anymore, when you pass
this spot the signal reappear.

Also you can change your gas line filter and use a Carburator clean to
clean the air intake (just shoot after the air filter when car run).
Some cleaner are insert via the vacuum of the motor, that works great
also.

Cleaning this can help in yours case.

Hope it will help

I've recently installed a huge airintake tube/filter. my 92 century (3.3) had the same problem, works great now. gave me loads of acceleration.

I bought the part meant to fit a civic from autozone. I cut about 4in. from the tube to make it fit. alltogather (tube & filter seperate) price was about $70Edited by: Brumskee
