Hi all, I am new to this forum. I have a 2000 Regal. Bought it new in 2000 and am hooked. However it now has a problem - transmission shifts really hard and fast (jars the car) when it is a hot day after a long drive. If I shut off the engine just for a few seconds and restart, the next set of shifts is OK. Almost like the electronics resets to shift normal until whatever is making it shift harsh kicks in again. It has the 3.8L engine. Not sure what tranny but it is the standard one for that timeframe. Anyone had similar problems or know what this might be? I recently changed the fluid and filter in the tranny (after the problem started) and it still does it.
