HI:

I have a 2000Buick Century and it has the usual gas guage problem. It does not accurately indicate the amount of fuel in the tank. I have had to resort to using the trip meter after each fillup just so that I dont run out of gas.

I have read about some additives that you can use to solve this problem, short of replacing an expensive fuel pump.

Anyone had any success with any additives.

Thanks

Oshawa, Ontario.

ive seen on the "chevron techron" fuel cleaner, it saiys it maintains and lubricates the level sender, but i dont think it will fix any problem that has already occurred. and you wouldn't need the pump, just the sender. or the level sensor, if they make it by itself. but usually you have to replace the sending unit as a whole.

Thanks, Samuel Jackson..

We dont have Chevron up here in this part of Canada but I did try one can on the GM fuel cleaner for the problem with no results. I bought a second can and they advised me not to put it in until I had driven 2500 miles. Havent added yet, but will keep you posted.

Im doubtful of any results.
