I live in Wisconsin, and the winters are very cold here..its starting to become our favorite season, winter. I turned the heat up in the Sabre today only to find that the defrosters do not blow hot air. The heater vents on the floor blow hot air. The car has the electronic climate control will passenger climate. When I start the car, the temperature display on the main climate control flashes for about a minute, then stays on until the car is started up again where it will repeat the same process.


Anyone know how to fix this?


Any help would be appreciated.

I have an 86 park avenue with a similar problem, it has electronic climate control and when the windshield wipers are turned on or off the display will flicker on and off and the blower will do the same. I havent found a solution for my problem but you may want to get the wiring checked. It could be a place where the wires have rubbed together , wore off the insulation and are shorting.
