92 Skylark shuts off

That keeps the proper pressure at the injectors at all times. If there's gas leaking around it, even a tiny bit, thats your problem. It should not leak at all. Replace that, and your car should be fine again.

wow i may of been right, lolz, im not a mechanic at all, i know very little and my mom's bf said that might of been the return gas that goes back to the tank.

lol I'm no mechanic either. Most of what I know I've either learned by watching my dad and neighbor do mechanic work on most of our vehicles, watching shows like horsepower tv, and reading similar problems/solutions on the internet. I started watching and helping when I was about 5, so close to 15 years of learning and doing have taught a lot.

I'm not sure how the fpr functions on that motor, if you want to find out for curiosity's sake, just follow the line that goes from the bottom. You'd be surprised how much you can learn by doing things like that.

fpr mean Fuel pressure regulator?


I went to autozone to buy 1 for $50 gonna replace it tomorrow to see if it helps.

Yes, fpr=fuel pressure regulator

Hopefully that will solve your problem.

im hoping so to, i need it for school, hate the bus, also a 30min drive on bus sucks even more

I know what you mean. I'm lucky enough to live about a 15 minute drive from the college i'm starting next month. The last place was a 20 minute walk away.

yea, im still in HS atm senior year, i drive for a vocational school makes it worth it. well thanks for the help, i'll post on here if it works or not.
