Default 1997 Buick Regal; horn goes off by itself.

Two weeks ago I was putting my 97 Buick Regal in the garage. It was in the morning and cold. As I was pulling into the garage the horn went on and I couldn't turn it off.
I took the horn relay off to shut the horn off.. Later in the afternoon I put back the horn relay and the horn did not go off. The horn buttons work fine to activate the horn. Then a couple days later, I had the car
outside and around 11 PM the horn went off again by itself. The weather at that time was cool.. Again I took the relay out to shut the horn off. Now this only happens when it's cool or cold, but does not happen
when it's warm outside. Looks like something close to the horn switch is contracting when cold and thus pushing on the horn switch activating the horn.
Has anyone had this problem and if so, what was the fix? Thanks.

George

Sounds like you are on the right path.
We need to remove the pad from the steering wheel and connect a meter to it and place it in the freezer to verify if that is the cause..The meter would be set to show continuity , and it is that easy.
