Hello,

I am beginning to restore a 1988 Skylark, starting with
a sharp new paint job and some slick rims/tires. I want to know how
hard it is to troubleshoot the AC system, which does not work at all.
No fan blows, no compressor comes on, zip. When I got the car,
the AC was freezing cold, and after a while it just stopped. That was
several years ago. Now that summer is coming, I want to find out if I
can do the work myself or plunk down the coin to have someone else do
it.

Any ideas about where to start?
