2009 Buick Enclave cxl replacing purge valve
Replacing purge valve on/near motor not the tank. Received the new part yet the adapter isn’t the same as the one that’s on vehicle now. Sample of photo from part received from auto zone but the second photo resembles what is currently on my vehicle. I was told the adapter should be removed for old one to new one, yet not clear how that will connect back securing it with screws? Forgive my limited knowledge trying to do this on my own so my technical verbiage may be limited.
Screws from top to connect to manifold? But the new part doesn’t

I would see if my local dealer had the right valve first.
Some parts suppliers ,, not all,,,try to cover several models /years with one valve. Sometime it works and sometimes you need to alter things to have them work.
Always have to be on the lookout for , "FITS ALL " parts.
