I am just at a loss on this one. Nothing seems to make sense. I hope that someone on this forum will be able to give me some advice. Here is the vital information:

1995 Park Ave. Ultra, 46k Miles. When the drivetrain is under load, climbing a hill, from a dead stop, et cetera, there is an intense shudder from the transmission. Enough to shake thesteering wheel out of your hands. I disconnected the harness from the transmission expecting the torque converter clutch to be the culprit, but to no effect. Replaced all of the vacuum lines going to the modulator valve. Again, no change. Is this simply a bad transmission at 46k miles or is there something else that could be going on?

Thanks in advance for any information.
