False messages on gauges
#1
My 1999 Park Ultra Buick after a service recently the Gas gauge
needle got stuck under the post on that guage. The electronic readout
said that the Fuel was empty! I drilled a tiny hole in the plastic outer
window and with a paper clip "L" caught the needle and it went to
Full and the electronic read out changed to full too. Now the oil can lamp
comes on and off intermitently and the eletronic read out on oil pressure
goes to zero then counts back to normal 130 as the lamp light flickers,
this gives me the confidence the problem is the Oil sensor at the Oil pan
do you agree. I googled image of Oil sensor and up came a person that
had the same problem on a Northstar Caddilac the replacement of that
sensor fixed the problem.
