My 99 Ultra always warns me that the coolent level is low when the engine is started. I reset the message and about 15 minutes later, back it comes. All my levels are to the proper fill line.

This is now happening with my 2000 LeSabre....identical warning message but when I reset it, it does not come back on until the engine is restarted again.

Any suggestions.

The sensors sometimes seem to be hypersensitive. I've tried cleaning them and overfilling the bottles somewhat. Sometimes that works and other times it doesn't. The sensors do fail, and may have to be replaced.

Oil contaminationin your coolant can also cause this. That's not necessarily a big problem, but obviously, it could be.

Thanks for the reply... I have overfilled the coolent reserve tank and both cars to no avail.. Also the 'water' is clean, no oil. I suspect the sensors also, but I aint gonna change them unless they are easy to get to.

As long as you know the fluids are at the proper level, then it isnt that big of a deal.

I didnt think it was a big deal either, as I have been around machinery and worked on all types ofengines all my life. But with these "new" cars and all the sensors and computer controled devices, one never knows anymore.

Thanks guys.
