samueljackson you been a big help so far!! here is the latest info on my headache!! Took it back to the mechanic and these codes were pulled. p0341, p0321, p1361, p1626. He came to the conclusion it is either the module or the computer. SO i took the module and got it tested and it turns out it tested bad!! so i was happy thinking thats my problem, after replacing the module i drove my car to work and yet agin it turned off on me!!! my next move is to take the module back and get it tested agin, if it test good i guess i will change the computer and hope thats it. If it test bad i wont know what to do@

with that many codes, i would wonder if the scanner would read a bad quad driver. if it does, then its the ecu.

thats a bummer, i hoped the icm would be ur only problem.

if you have a pick and pull junk yard near you, an ecu would be fairly cheap. just make sure to keep ur original prom chip.

keep us posted.

so heres a summary, after getting my car checked on the computer the mech. came to the conclusion that it was either the IGN module or the Computer so i took my module to auto zone and it checked out bad. After replacing the module i drove my car for about 15 minutes and it turned off on me agin, i then took the module back to auto zone a day later and it checked out as bad! Could the computer be killing the module? also it seems my car drives fine and doesnt turn off at night but when its hot outside thats when it starts acting up!!! ( also i just changed my plugs and wires) any suggestions?

the ecu is the computer. ecu+engine contrl unit. someies called the pcm, powertrain contrain control module, or even brain. all different terms for the same part.

when you put the new ICM's on, did you clean the bracket they bolt down to? that must be corrosion free. and it is also important to put good layer of dielectric grease between that bracket and the icm. the grease protects from corrosion and also helps dissapate heat.

the base is corrosion free and clean, the mechanic will look at it tomorrow but my only question is do you think the computer could be causing this?
