90 PA Ultra Stereo issues
I've only had my PA Ultra for 2 months, and I'm replacing the factory Bose
cassette deck with a brand new aftermarket deck I bought. I hooked up all
the wires, the new stereo powers up as it should, but there's no sound to the
speakers. A friend told me there might be a factory amplifier in the car, and
I may need to rewire my speakers. Anyone know where it is, or what I
should do here?

are you sure that is a 1990? cuz late late model 91s were the first ultras. or, so i thought.
well, i can say that my 92 has the "concert sound II" and i didnt have to bypass an amp. i just got a regular 88+ gm harness adapter.

Yes, there were some Ultras at the end of the previous platform's run. Most Bose systems DO have outboard amps and require adapters or new speakers. My previous Ultra had the Bose cassette system. At the time, Bose was available with cassette (which was fine with me since I had a large cassette collection which I didn't have time to listen to except in the car), but Bose could not be had with CD.
