I have a 1991 Century with a 3 speed automatic column shift. Reverse is bad and I want to know if I can put a 3 speed automatic with overdrive column shift in it. If so, will the only problem be the shift indicator showing wrong gear?It is a 3.3 liter engine.

I dont think it would be worth the trouble, bc iirc that OD trans will have to be controlled via the pcm, you only have an ecm. but if you can find a 4 speed thats not pcm controlled, you would not be able to shift into 1st gear with the original column. but when do you really need that?
