Hi,
I have a 1998 Buick Century and I was thinking (ok... dreaming) about supercharging it. I have a couple questions I would appreciate having answered.

Is the engine itself the same as those that were in the supercharged cars of the era? (Bonneville SSEI, GTP, etc...) Internals the same?
Will the computer work with positive manifold pressure?
Anything else that I should take into consideration?

Thanks,
Daniel

The engine is basically the same, but there are many changes, both internal and external (for example: different compression ratio, different fuel pump). Many have considered this, but I have not heard of anyone actually doing it. Unless you have some emotional attachment to your car, it would befar easier and cheaper to trade it in for the car you'd want.

Sorry to rain on your parade!

During surfing I have read that the transmission is a 4T60E HD for a supercharged engine... Heavy Duty.. which may also discourage any simple supercharger install.

Along with that the trans axles are a bit different length.

An easier path would be perhaps the whole POWER Cradle assembly would work.
