Default 98 Buick Century Custom code P0101

So I searched the forums but the things I found don't seem to relate to my issue so here I am to post it. My Buick is throwing a p0101 code I attempted all of the usual things to resolve the issue, cleaning/replacing air filter, inspecting for air leaks/pressure, replaced MAF 3 different times and cleaned each one. Only thing I haven't replaced is the MAF wiring itself as it looks like it requires splicing wires and that is a last ditch effort. However my car only throws the p0101 if I'm driving up a steep incline for more then a half a mile, when the code comes on the car almost feels as if it skips then compensates. But once I start and stop the engine 3-4 times the code goes away and does not return until I again drive up a a steep incline. This makes me believe it's not an electrical issue. Before it was throwing the p0101 code it threw a bad MAF code, after replacing the MAF code I began to get the p0101 code. Anyone have any ideas? I've been stumped for a few weeks now.

Where are you purchasing the MAF sensors? OEM or aftermarket?

The first 2 were OEM out of junkyards. But just to ensure it wasn't the MAF I purchased an AC DELCO OEM MAF and still received the same code.

If you know someone that has a scan tool to read fuel trim numbers that should tell you if there is a possible air leak that the computer may be compensating for and the MAF code is reflecting low air intake compared to other engine parameters. We would like to think all three MAFs couldn't be bad, but anything is possible with electronics.
