Hey people, I just bought my first car and its a 1985 Buick Riviera. I have a 6 CD Changer its an Alpine 5951z. I was wondering if anyone knows where i can find a free wiring diagram. also I want to know if anyone knows where i can get a drivers side door. I live in Winnipeg Canada so if anyone knows, please help me out.

well man you might be in luck, canada is full of old people, old people love buicks, old people also like to smash buicks so a trip to your local salvage yard I'm sure would not be fruitless.


As for your diagram, I'm assuming you're looking for a way to hook up your changer, well first off you would need a deck that supports it unless your changer has a FM transmiter (and if it does they just use that) once you have adeck that can control your changer, you need to goto Crappy tire, or best buy or something like that and buy the conversion module, It converts the plug for your factory deck to the current standard. they are cheep (like $15) and save you a hell of a lot of time. Other than that, free wiring diagrams are all over the place, the only problem is, unless you have the same car as everone else in the world, they are not gonna be for your car


I've always said if your serious about your car, and are gonna spend money on it anyways, get the damn book. Coles Chapters whatever. order it online. I can't tell you how usefull that book will be if you plan on doing anything worthwhile.
