//--></>I hav a 1992 buick skylark 4 banger, I don't know the transmission, but all i know is, i have to fill it up about once every three days, there is a problem with the pan because i have felt around and found no leaks so i assume the pan is twisted, I am just wondering if anyone could explain what is wrong with the transmission? also this is not engine, but relates to the tranny, My g/f got hit on the driver side tire a few months ago, and now after replaceing the strut, i dident replace it the person who did, pretty much stripped the bolts on the bottom as well as the sway bar bolts, but i am wondering why would it be clicking on a left turn, and why can't i go fast in it anymore? could the driveshaft need replacing?

If I understand correctly you said the pan is not leaking? If the pan is not leaking you may be losing fluid from the seal where the axle goes into the transaxle. Another possibility is that the main seal of the tranny is leaking (located behind the torque converter).

The clicking sound you describe sounds as though the outer cv joint is going out.

As for going fast, does the transmission slip at all. Losing that much fluid you may have burned up the bands

I am decently postivite it might be coming from the pan, froim what i have heard from other people the tranny pan's are known for warping...okay so i know it will be easy to replace the whole transaxkle, have done it on the pass side, so its hard but could be worse...

oh yea its leaking from behind the tranny, not the middle....it doesent really slip its just hard shifts from going park into gears, i always put in tranny fluid so it never really went low. when its driving it doesent leak, but with no pressure it just drips

Try some SeaFoam additive.. It may help smooth it out a bit. .

Good Luck
