im posting this on behalf of my mother lol. recently her windshield wipers have been going haywire. for a long time, the passenger side wiper hasnt moved at all. now the driver side one is begining to have the same problem except sometimes it works too much and actually goes off the windshield!! assuming it was the motor, a mechanic at a stealership told me that the wiper transmission/linkage assembly is what needs replacing. now my problem is, i cant get into the workings of the wipers lol. i took the nuts off the studs of each wiper arm and the arms will NOT budge! how do i get these off??

this is regarding a 2000 buick century

thanks in advance!

You need a small gear puller; like a battery terminal puller.
