Smile Crappy antenna, or crappy Radio?

Earlier I mentioned how on the AM band the reception was staticy.
Just as an FYI to those out there, I noticed, when I turn the radio on
and off afew times it eventually stops. When I get the opportunity I am going to add an Xtra ground to the radio and see if that does anything.

Also, anybody got a wiring diagram on the steering colum audio controls?? THey dont work neither!

Have you checked all the connections at the back of the radio? Maybe there's a loose connection there somewhere. Also check the antenna plug and the wire. It might have chaffed somewhere and is touching bare metal. Do the FM stations work fine?
