Hi everyone, I have a 02 Rondezvouswith 42 kms on it. It won't start unless you let it sit for 20-90 minutes after it has been running and hot. I do not hear the 3 second hum of the fuel sending unit at the intial turning of the key. All I hear is a slight pop sound. After waiting for the vehicle to cool down It will start and I obviously hear the normal hum of the sending unit,but if I engage the key on and off in quick succession,just to the point where the sending unit hums ,it will get weaker and slower then eventually not work again unless I wait again for the vehicleor defective partto cool down.


I have looked on the web for help but can't find any similarities. I get the feeling this could be a costly trial and error buy replacing ,sending unit,body control module,ignition control module or ignition relay. ...Can any of you help me and what would you do?

i have heard of a similar issue, but not on a rendezvous...it was a crank sensor issue in one case, and in the other, it was the ECU.
