Head Gasket
Looked ok cleaned it up auto zone gave me the lbs, 4 lbs on the bottom
intake and 22 on the top intake of tourk? Is that right I thought that the
bottom shouldbe 22 and the top 4 But did what they said ..Edited by: redhawk77

Ok I just got back from Checking things out the cyc compression across the
front 30,50,60 so I'm guessing It's blown , Now I have to decide if It's new
car time or fix it again ...............Thanks Samuel what do you think ???Head

yeah, those #s are way low. should be in the area of 170 iirc. the HGs on the 3800 are very stout and reliable. if there was a problem bad enough to cause this, it may be safe to say that engine damage has already occurred. so i wouldn''t just change the hg. I would say a piston rings, and rod/crank bearing change would be a minimum.
If i were you, I would weigh out the cost of a engine rebuild vs a new car.
Or you may consider a yard motor. An L36 should be fairly cheap and easy to find. but if you go that route, go with caution, bc no engine likes to sit for a long period of time. so I would try to find a 3800 powered car that was recently wrecked.
